I can imagine that your job would bring you in contact with your fair share of people that weren’t thinking, but I’m also sure that everyone is quite thankful for the job that you do and your willingness to help in dire situations. I imagine this is especially true of the professionals on the seas that require your help.

Don’t feel too bad, my job is to work with idiots which means being around them all the time.

My job is to listen to idiots and tell them that they are correct even when they aren’t.

An increasing problem I see when I’m out on the SF bay is people using boats that aren’t properly trained. Not only are they a hazzard to themselves, but to all the other people out there. It doesn not surprise me that the coast guard members would have this feeling because I see these same idiots all the time too.
